THIS WEEK’S TOPIC: PERFECT YOUR ELEVATOR PITCH
Picture yourself on an elevator. The door opens and your dream client or investor walks in. Are you prepared to catch their interest in three sentences or less, because that’s probably all the time you have. You need an elevator pitch!
5 EASY STEPS
Step One: Write down the most interesting or innovative thing you can share about your business.
Step Two: Succinctly write down the who, what, when, where and why of your business.
Step Three: Now put these two together, starting with a sentence designed to grab attention.
Step Four: Ask yourself if you have answered the question: “Why should they care about my business?”
Step Five: Practice saying the pitch until it sounds natural and conversational. Start being aware of opportunities to use your elevator pitch. You may be “riding on the elevator” with a potential game changer for your business.
Practice makes perfect. Soon you will be ready for any networking opportunity that presents itself.
