THIS WEEK’S TOPIC: SOCIAL MEDIA COVER PHOTOS

Let’s change the cover photo on your social media site!  When is the last time you updated your social platform default image anyway? Best practice is to change it out “at least” every quarter. Your customers will also want to see something new when they come to your social platform. You have a dynamic, thriving business, right? Your social media page should be, as well.

3 EASY STEPS

Step One: Find a new image: either a new or photo or graphic image that you have used elsewhere. If nothing is available, go to a free photo sharing site like Unsplash or Pexels and download a photo. 

Step Two: On Facebook, upload the image by clicking on the black “update cover photo” button located on your current cover photo. Follow the prompts. You can adjust by clicking on repositioning and then moving the photo around as needed. Voila! Your platform is refreshed. 

Step Three: Got more than one platform? Let’s update all of the cover photos while we are at it. It works similarly on every platform. You can do the same photo or choose different ones for each platform. (Note: if a photo does not appear to be the right size and adjusting it won’t help, choose another one. It is important to use a good quality photo, but don’t obsess over choosing the perfect one. It’s only going to be on your page for a while, so don’t overthink it.)
